Alley Spring Mill
$9.99
Alley Spring and the mill created a community that included a home, a farm and a school in 1894. The mill was vital to the community and all of their activities yet it was only marginally successful. Flooding and poor planning held it back.
Now it is part of the National Park Service and the mill itself is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. This spring 6 miles west of Eminence boasts the largest credible measured flow of any Ozark springs and id the 7th largest spring in Missouri. The underground part of the spring is know to extend at least 3000 feet and is 155 deep. Rainwater and runoff water seep into the system from 15 miles away.
