Falling Spring Mill
$9.99
Falling Spring Mill is located south of Winona MO, in the Mark Twain National Forest. What makes this mill unusual is that the spring water that ran the mill comes from high in the bluff behind it. Other springs for area mills are at ground level. The area was settled in 1851 but this mill was built in 1927. This mill was used to generate electricity, grind corn, and other products. It was a very busy mill, often having 10 or more wagons camped nearby.
