On any day you can hike Leatherwood Creek near Ponca Arkansas and find some sort of beauty in front of you or at your feet. Generally, when hiking this creek you will see several small waterfalls and cascades. In this early May photo it was a rainy day and the water was higher than usual. Most photographers won’t go out on a day like this, but then they miss how every drop of rain absorbs the color around it. This creek is a great hike as you go in and out of the creek’s several crossings.
