Live Stock Exchange Building

Built in 1899 this exchange building was once considered the crown jewel of the vast stockyards in St Joseph Missouri and it was designed to impress. Back then it was the center of the 5th largest livestock market in the US and now is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Back in the day this beautiful ornate building used to bustle with activity as a sign of the success of the American farmers. Unfortunately, now it sits awaiting an unknown fate. Some say it is far past repairable. Others hope someone with deep pockets will see the value in this building’s history.
