Twin Falls

This spectaclar and popular waterfall is in the Buffalo National River near Camp Orr, a boy scout camp at Mount Sherman Arkansas. The interesting thing about this 48 foot waterfall is that it has 2 sources of water, the main one being a spring so that the 2 right falls run year-round. During the rainy season such as this May picture a small creek above flows enough to create the left or third waterfall. During the rainy season people often call this Triple Falls but it is named for having 2 sources hence the name Twin Falls. Many waterfalls in the Buffalo River area only flow during the rainy season. The road down hill to it and Camp Orr is very rough and if muddy you might need 4-wheel drive to get back out. Otherwise, the hike from the small parking lot is level mostly and a half mile round trip.
